Lakeside campus 2

I think I have mentioned quite a lot of things about how awful lakeside campus is previously, but there are also some benefits for students after we moved here.

Well, Taylors provide shuttle buses in certain places for students to come over to the lakeside campus, I remember they have bus stops in front of Suriamas, LCS, TBS and also many other places. The reason why I know they provide these shuttle bus is because I have taken it many times and I can say it is very convenient and punctual.

FOOD!!! Obviously most of the people love to eat. Thanks to most of the lecturers, we always finish our classes before schedule, therefore we usually linger around in the college instead of going back to our home. Most of us hang out at dessert bar, crispy popian and waffle shop after class. The foods the sold there are not bad though, unfortunately the prices are a little bit higher than other places. Nowadays my appetite is becoming bigger and bigger, I shouldn’t talk about food in the first place, because now I am starting to miss the mamak food we used to have in LCS. Before LCS, I studied in Subang Jaya for almost a month but, due to personal reasons I switched my course to Diploma in mass communication. The difference between Subang campus and Lake side campus is in Subang campus, the building is much higher, more choices for food, for example, Subway, Mc Donald, PaPa Rich and many more. Everything taste nicer and much cheaper compared to Lakeside food court, the money I spend in the food court here cost me about almost 10 bucks every freaking meals! Moreover, they are tasteless! How sad is that?

The best thing I love about lakeside campus is the scenery we can see from our class room. Every time in the class, I would spend at least 5 minutes just standing in front of the glass and enjoying the view from my class room. I know I am a weirdo and people might think my behavior is weird but I dont really care, as long as I know what am I doing, I dont really care how people judge me. Honestly I love nature, that is the reason why I like the scenery in lakeside campus, I am always looking for the chance to go mountain hiking or water rafting. I guess Taylors college is going to make water rafting available on the lake in the future, right? Mr. Winson I wish you can suggest to your boss about it, soon, we will have one more activity for our athletic! By the way, why have I not hear of athletics or sports day in Taylors college? I always think an university should organize sports day for everyone to attend just like how they use to do American TV shows. Also some of us can represent the program and go for the competition. I would like to feel the enthusiasm for sport from every University students. In Taiwan, most of the university takes sports day as a very important event, because university students will be able to show how creative they are. Cant wait for the day to come :D

The new environment, Lakeside campus

It was sad because everyone in LCS is moving to lakeside really soon. Before moving to lakeside I have heard many bad comments from my friends about lakeside campus, the food is expensive, campus is hot because of the reflection of the glass, lift sucks and many other things. Besides, I have been to lakeside library before we moved there, honestly lakeside library gave me a good impression compared with the traditional library I have seen in my previous school. Most of the furniture they purchased and the decoration makes me feel comfortable. Furthermore, most of the furniture is painted with bright color like orange, light green and yellow. If I have the chance to visit the library again, I would definitely spend my whole day and studying with my friends there. This is because when I study at home, I normally is very reluctant to open my book.

Actually, I was pretty excited before I join Taylors college because I saw the new campus from the poster and the poster was everywhere. I think that was one of their strategic to attract more students and also to increase our school fees. But I was quite disappointed because the environment wasnt as good as I expected, the lake is dirty like dead water, moreover there is a illegal cow farm right behind the campus. We can even smell the cows poo from miles away. In spite of that, there are still constructions going beside the lake, and in the morning we can hear the excavator digging the ground like no one cares. Maybe Im exaggerating but thats my first impression to lakeside campus after moving here.

Despite of the cows poo, I discovered there is not enough car parks for students to park their precious car. They might waste their time finding car parks and be late for the class. In addition, I have no idea why Taylors willing to spend so much money on the bumps instead of the painting of the walls. Everywhere I walk around the campus is plain grey. However, if the facility department is willing to paint the walls into plain white color I think the environment will be more graceful.

Anyway, I actually hope Taylors will provide us more ECA or clubs for the students since everyones class ends so early and we have so much free time to enjoy our life, therefore I think we should spend our time in doing more meaningful things like volunteer work and charity. I love to help people, and every time when I am having my holiday in Taiwan I would volunteer to join the charity organization to collect the receipt from other people(in Taiwan, the receipts are collected and being sent to an organization. Certain percentage of our money spent would be donated to the poor ).

Certainly, the feeling of helping people and being helped by other people is totally different. You might think helping other people might be troublesome or boring, it might be troublesome but actually it is not boring at all. You will feel like you have accomplished something after you see the person you are helping smile back at you.

I hope in the future Taylors college could provide more charity clubs for us.

Stomping Street

The street is a public easement, one of the few shared between all sorts of people.

As a component of the built environment as ancient as human habitation, the street sustains a range of activities vital to civilization.

Its roles are as numerous and diverse as its ever-changing cast of characters.

Streets can be loosely categorized as main streets and side streets.

Main streets are usually broad with a relatively high level of activities.

Commerce and public interaction are more visible on main streets and vehicles may use them for longer-distance travel.

Side streets are quieter. Often residential in use and character, and may be used for vehicular parking.

Mr. Winson. Please don't worry about the number of the words in this article, because this is just to explain what is Stomping Street.

Today!! Is the first day of holiday :D

YES!!! Finally I have finished all the boring lectures! I know its rude to say that but I just can't stand it when the atmosphere of the whole class room is in absolute silence. After one week of torture waking up early in the morning, I am able to take a break. Today is the FIRST weekend since I join this course, therefore everyone decided to have some fun instead of struggling with assignments. Being said that, most of us went Sunway Pyramid straight immediately after class. Below is our plan in Sunway Pyramid.

Ÿ Delicious lunch for our greedy tummy

Ÿ Karaoke session at red box

Ÿ no plan..

Unfortunately, we were in the rush after our class finished, and we only had a quick lunch before going karaoke, everyone seemed excited. Personally, I love karaoke. It is like a MUST for me to go karaoke once at least every month. Well, I know by singing out loud my neighbors would be disturbed, but too bad, they can't stop me from doing it. Especially when I’m listening to the bands like Fall out boy or Boys like Girls, when the favorite part of my song is being played, I would even start jumping and singing. I was surprised that red box only charged us RM10 each and we could sing continuously for three hours!! Moreover we got two jugs of drinks to clear the saliva in our throat before we start singing again. It's been awhile since I have been to karaoke in Malaysia, surprisingly they have thousands of mandarin and English songs, I will never have the chance to find so many English song in Taiwan KTV. Obviously most of the Taiwanese only sing Chinese songs. Well, I was extremely happy when I saw all the English songs. There were 11 of us in the room, can u imaging when 11 of us jumping on the sofa while singing the songs? No doubt that today’s karaoke session was the best I have had with my classmates. Usually from my experience with my friends in karaoke we would just sit on the chair and drink beer, but next time if I have the chance to go with my friends again I will ask them to stand on the sofa like how we did today! I guarantee it will be fun and extremely hyperactive even without involving any alcohol :D

After three hours everyone looked exhausted because we were singing and running here and there non-stop. First time singing with mass comm people was satisfying and I have explored something. I found out Yee Mun and John are actually a good singer! Yee Mun is talented and I recommended her to join the TV program in Taiwan , its called Star million pathway, perhaps? I have one friend who is very talented in singing, too. I guess I will introduce him to Yee Mun and let them compete each other!!

First Holiday for this year makes me insane!

My first week of holiday was depressing. After joining Mass Communication for merely 2 weeks, I have no choice but to leave the course and go back to Taiwan to further my studies. Reasons are P&C. I spent my 14 days with all of my closest friends thinking that in the future I might not be able to see them again. My emotion for those 14 days are indescribable. It felt as if I have gotten bipolar disorder. When I’m spending time enjoying with my friends, all of a sudden an image would flash though my mind, a very horrifying picture. A picture of me in Taiwan, meeting all the new people of different culture, all my closest friends are miles away and there would be no one to be there for me, to back me up, to accompany me through this process of changing to a new environment. I would consider the culture over in Taiwan as different because I have been studying and living in Malaysia for almost 4 to 5 years now. Even though I am so used to the culture over here in Malaysia where everyone is so friendly, converse in multiple language, and the best part is, they would help you whenever you’re in need.

I was suffering a lot before leaving back to Taiwan, the reason why I am mentioning it again it’s because all the memories I have with my friends in high school , college and everywhere else might fade slowly with the passage of time in Malaysia.

During the one week break, I would think of all the different possibilities and events that would happen when I’m in Taiwan and even if I were to stay back in Malaysia. Comparing them would just make me want to stay back even more, I spend my quality time with my friends and try to hang out with them as much as possible. But every time when I see them it makes me even more emotional . Therefore I planned to stop doing my assignments and blogging!! , well, I know I am doing it now.

In fact , I have created another blog in other website , but because I’m a lazy person so I seldom post a new article on it. I have found out that blog is actually a good place to release all my stress, the reason why I think of it this way is because by typing out what I feel is much easier compared to speaking. On the other hand , I kind of hate posting a new article on my blog. It’s so stereotype! Especially when you have to do this almost every week. I never felt so stressful and struggle to write a blog which is my mass communication assignment in my life. Sorry to say that Mr.Winson but I actually want to save some of my idea for my next post , currently I don’t have any inspiration to continue this article anymore. Yes!!! Finally I have reached 500 words HAHAHA!!!
