Exam preparation
When I surf the internet today, I randomly found out this interesting event from Facebook. The event was" One day before exam I will be the most religious person in the world". Yeah! That’s right!! I can tell the whole world I know myself than anyone else, and I will only do things last minutes sometimes, but I’ll become very unstable and nervous before the exam start, and I believe everyone does. Especially 5 minutes before the supervisors put the exam papers on my table, I would pray to whatever god I know in the world and hoping for higher grade, Because I am Chinese so I pray to buddhish god the most, even though I know praying does not helping anything for my grade, but at least I can stay calm and reorganize my mood to answer the questions. In fact, personally I have some tips for preparing the exam, and I guarantee you won’t fail your test anymore if follow it step by step. Firstly of all, making flash cards can be time consuming, but they are helpful tools in remembering vocabulary, formulas, and key concepts. They are also easy to carry around with you so you can review them anytime. Secondly, get enough sleep is really important, I think the whole class already knew that I love to sleep however especially for me, if I get a full night of sleep I will become more alert than usual, more focused and learn things easier than those who are sleep deprived. Especially during the weeks preceding exams keep your sleep schedule as consistent as possible. Somebody might have laugh at me, because I always have my eye bags with me every day I go to the class, even though I feel like I have recharged myself very much. That's because I'm allergic to dust, despite of the eye bags I will sneeze like hell in the morning almost every day. However, to keep you in a good grade, practice is unavoidable. To ensure that you are prepared for your exam, make a mock exam for yourself and you would be able to understand how well you know the material you have absorb from the books, just like how we used to do in high school. Remember Trail exams? I really hate trail exams, and I am saying this from the deep of my heart. I get really stress up during trail exams when I was in high school. I just can’t understand why is exam so important to us? I strongly have a though that we are not going to us most of the knowledge or source we learnt in the college in the future. Many of my friends or cousins are graduated from top university in the world, of course people may think this is very helpful for our future, and that is true, a high qualifications could have help you to get a job easily in the future, but the time has changed in our generation, think in this way, when you think you are good at something actually nevertheless there are millions of them who is much better than you. In my opinion, I think having a good skill in something is better than a qualification, although qualification is important to us as well, but in the same time we should always find an opportunity to enrich ourselves and get more experience to associate oneself with other people in the society.
Exam is approaching!!
Yes, the exam is approaching in 4 days time, and I haven’t really started my revision yet. The reason why I haven’t start my revision is because I wanted to quit college and go back to Taiwan, remember? Luckily I didn’t have to go back, but the disadvantage for me for not going back is to continue doing my assignments, and I’m doing one of them right now. Flashing back in time when I was just in high school, everything was just so relaxing compared to the life I have now. Every day in high school, my classes finishes at 3 o’clock and after that is basketball session for those “basketballers”. In contrast, I am rushing with all the assignments and exams in this particular time, it makes we want to shout and throw everything out of my room just to release my stress. I know that is not related to the topic at all but I just feel like saying it.
Do you guys know I keep scratching my back when I get nervous? I bet most of you don’t know. As you can see during the exam I will lying on the desk and put my hand on my back then start scratch. Especially when I am answering all the structure questions. I hate memorizing things, and I have swear to the god after I graduated from high school I am not going to take those subjects like history, geography and English literature anymore. Because I keep failing my history and geography, I just can’t remember like a robot and absorb everything that has happened in the world. Honestly, what can you do after memorizing everything which has happened before? We won’t be able to fix anything other than learning the mistakes from the past, right?
On the other hand, I really love to study physic and chemistry. I feel excited every time I see all the technology that has improved by some engineers. Moreover my ambition was to become an engineer, somehow after attending few classes of engineering I felt like I am more interested in advertising. Commercial advertisement really attracts my attention from the television and that’s the reason why I am willing to spend almost whole day to blog for my assignments. Because this is just a small step for me to achieve my success, furthermore, blogging can improve my English writing. In other hand, I can have some other benefits and not just to tell the whole world about my boring life in the blog. Back to the topic, in case I fail my midterm exam, I have arrange my timetable for studying and the notes to read. I just hope the exam papers won’t come out so difficult. I remember midterm exam is about 20% out of 100% in our overall grade right? I am starting to panic again. Well, even though I can’t make it for our midterm life still goes on, but I just don’t want my parent to be disappointed again, because I have disappointed them many times. Anyway, good luck everyone. All the best for midterm exam. :)

Musician wanna be :P
Music has always been a part of my life. I can die without music.
Most of my friends learned to play music instruments when they were young, but unfortunately I didn’t have the chance to learn to play an instrument, because our family doesn’t take music as important as our education. Actually I think by learning music in a young age could help build up a personality of a child. Moreover music touches our emotional being and evokes moods and feelings that are sometimes difficult to express. It can change a difficult mood and make it happy or excited and that is the reason why I listen to music most of the time. The wonderful melody of music attracts my attention and I would be obsesses with the person who plays an instrument well . My cousin played good piano and I can remember curling up in the big chair next to the piano and listening for hours.
Besides that, I love singing. Whenever I feel bored it would help to chase away my loneliness.I bought this guitar when I was 14, it is my first guitar in my entire life. But it has been placed in my room after the strings broke.
Jason Mraz is one of my favorite musicians. He released his first album, “waiting for my rocket to come” in 2002 with a really retarded album cover and that was the first time I got to know this musician. All I can say about his music is awesome. Jason Mraz is a popular singer.
We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things. Is in fact his 3rd actual album, he has 2 live albums as well, so it is his 5th album in total. His song from "The Remedy (I Won't Worry)" is my favorite song. Because the song has the element of Pop Rock and I really like pop rock music. I believe my life always have something to sing along and related to. It is to the world as a whole because it brings us together. Just like music created by Jason Mraz. Perhaps some of the people don’t understand his music due to the different languages, but the melody of the music can express and makes it easier for us to understand other things. Here is a specific example, the song ‘We are the world’, written by Michael Jackson. This song contain a very meaningful lyrics and it was to convince the world stop fighting against each other. “Peace” was the significant he was trying to express.
In addition, I learned dancing when I was in high school. Out of sudden, I have a flash back to the time learning rock and roll. This was probably the first time and the last time I will to learn dancing by myself. It was something new to me, in my opinion, learning dancing was pretty difficult to me and especially for someone not talented in dancing like me. Well, it is always good to learn something new, because you can meet more different people and also can learn how to balance your body.

enjoying playing sports with ur friends
Sport is fun all the time with your friends, but injuries occur when we fail to warm up properly, over-train, use incorrect equipment, wrong posture and adopt a faulty technique. I have plenty of experience can tell you if you would like to ask me any questions about injuries. The most recent injury I had was about a month ago, that was the first time I playing American football. I was so excited when my friend first invited me to play American football. Therefore I joined the American football club without hesitating. It was fun to see them throw the football around, and I found it interesting because American football requires a lot of strategy during the game. Before the game starts, I was able to run like a monkey and catch football like an obedient dog fetching a stick. Set! Hut! Hut! Everyone was concentrating on the football and the person who was carrying it. The atmosphere was pretty intense because we have to attack the person that was carrying it and try to take him down. That’s because it is the fastest way to get the ball from our opponent. After few games of changing of strategy and position of our teammates I started to feel a slight pain in my knees, and something I expected has happened. Because I never warmed up properly and seriously, therefore I think god was trying to punish me by twisting my knee. Regardless of my injury I still finish the game, see, how responsible I am. Haha! I am just kidding. What I am trying to say here is, warm up is a very important procedure before doing any sports, even a small movement can cause an serious injury sometimes. Well, like Ameera said, maybe I am old already. Lately, I just don’t feel like doing any exercise anymore after the injury caused by American football, I have seen a doctor but the medicine and cream does not seem effective on my precious knees. I really hope I can still run like how I used to. Meanwhile, we might think we are still young and our body can cure whatever injuries, for example bruises is an injury caused by bleeding from blood capillaries beneath the skin, but do you know if you do not take care of it properly, when you are growing older the specific part of your body will face internal injury. In addition, you will have to suffer for the rest of your life.
Despite of the sports topic I can tell you guys out loud that I used to play guitar when I was in high school, but I gave up playing guitar after a while, my passion of guitar has faded, so I didn’t continue playing guitar but I regretted after I quitted playing guitar. My guitar has been placed in my room for almost a year now. I hope after I am done with my assignments and midterm exams I would have more time to practice my guitar skill.(And usually I won't do it even thought I have make the promise to myself XD)

Lakeside campus 2
I think I have mentioned quite a lot of things about how awful lakeside campus is previously, but there are also some benefits for students after we moved here.
Well, Taylor’s provide shuttle buses in certain places for students to come over to the lakeside campus, I remember they have bus stops in front of Suriamas, LCS, TBS and also many other places. The reason why I know they provide these shuttle bus is because I have taken it many times and I can say it is very convenient and punctual.
FOOD!!! Obviously most of the people love to eat. Thanks to most of the lecturers, we always finish our classes before schedule, therefore we usually linger around in the college instead of going back to our home. Most of us hang out at dessert bar, crispy popian and waffle shop after class. The foods the sold there are not bad though, unfortunately the prices are a little bit higher than other places. Nowadays my appetite is becoming bigger and bigger, I shouldn’t talk about food in the first place, because now I am starting to miss the mamak food we used to have in LCS. Before LCS, I studied in Subang Jaya for almost a month but, due to personal reasons I switched my course to Diploma in mass communication. The difference between Subang campus and Lake side campus is in Subang campus, the building is much higher, more choices for food, for example, Subway, Mc Donald, PaPa Rich and many more. Everything taste nicer and much cheaper compared to Lakeside food court, the money I spend in the food court here cost me about almost 10 bucks every freaking meals! Moreover, they are tasteless! How sad is that?
The best thing I love about lakeside campus is the scenery we can see from our class room. Every time in the class, I would spend at least 5 minutes just standing in front of the glass and enjoying the view from my class room. I know I am a weirdo and people might think my behavior is weird but I don’t really care, as long as I know what am I doing, I don’t really care how people judge me. Honestly I love nature, that is the reason why I like the scenery in lakeside campus, I am always looking for the chance to go mountain hiking or water rafting. I guess Taylor’s college is going to make water rafting available on the lake in the future, right? Mr. Winson I wish you can suggest to your boss about it, soon, we will have one more activity for our athletic! By the way, why have I not hear of athletics or sports day in Taylor’s college? I always think an university should organize sports day for everyone to attend just like how they use to do American TV shows. Also some of us can represent the program and go for the competition. I would like to feel the enthusiasm for sport from every University students. In Taiwan, most of the university takes sports day as a very important event, because university students will be able to show how creative they are. Can’t wait for the day to come :D

The new environment, Lakeside campus
It was sad because everyone in LCS is moving to lakeside really soon. Before moving to lakeside I have heard many bad comments from my friends about lakeside campus, the food is expensive, campus is hot because of the reflection of the glass, lift sucks and many other things. Besides, I have been to lakeside library before we moved there, honestly lakeside library gave me a good impression compared with the traditional library I have seen in my previous school. Most of the furniture they purchased and the decoration makes me feel comfortable. Furthermore, most of the furniture is painted with bright color like orange, light green and yellow. If I have the chance to visit the library again, I would definitely spend my whole day and studying with my friends there. This is because when I study at home, I normally is very reluctant to open my book.
Actually, I was pretty excited before I join Taylor’s college because I saw the new campus from the poster and the poster was everywhere. I think that was one of their strategic to attract more students and also to increase our school fees. But I was quite disappointed because the environment wasn’t as good as I expected, the lake is dirty like dead water, moreover there is a illegal cow farm right behind the campus. We can even smell the cow’s poo from miles away. In spite of that, there are still constructions going beside the lake, and in the morning we can hear the excavator digging the ground like no one cares. Maybe I’m exaggerating but that’s my first impression to lakeside campus after moving here.
Despite of the cow’s poo, I discovered there is not enough car parks for students to park their precious car. They might waste their time finding car parks and be late for the class. In addition, I have no idea why Taylor’s willing to spend so much money on the bumps instead of the painting of the walls. Everywhere I walk around the campus is plain grey. However, if the facility department is willing to paint the walls into plain white color I think the environment will be more graceful.
Anyway, I actually hope Taylor’s will provide us more ECA or clubs for the students since everyone’s class ends so early and we have so much free time to enjoy our life, therefore I think we should spend our time in doing more meaningful things like volunteer work and charity. I love to help people, and every time when I am having my holiday in Taiwan I would volunteer to join the charity organization to collect the receipt from other people(in Taiwan, the receipts are collected and being sent to an organization. Certain percentage of our money spent would be donated to the poor ).
Certainly, the feeling of helping people and being helped by other people is totally different. You might think helping other people might be troublesome or boring, it might be troublesome but actually it is not boring at all. You will feel like you have accomplished something after you see the person you are helping smile back at you.
I hope in the future Taylor’s college could provide more charity clubs for us.
